Become a Residential Manager

Links to Life is actively looking for caring and compassionate Residential Managers ready to make a difference in the lives of Individuals with disabilities. Residential Manager support and share their personal homes with individuals diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or a diagnosis of long-term mental illness. Individuals are welcomed into the home and become part of the Residential Managers family and community circles. Individuals are supported to create and nurture genuine relationships, participate in community life and make informed decisions about their lives while promoting choice and opportunities for self-expression. Links to Life Residential Managers are independent contractors whose service includes back up workers of their choosing. Links to Life provides supervision and oversight of each home with trained Support Facilitators and Administrative staff. Residential Managers are connected with mentors and peers doing the work and are provided support every step of the way.

Basic Requirements to Become a Residential Manager include:

  • 24 years or older
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • One year experience working with individuals with disabilities (If you do not have previous experience providing support to people with disabilities then Links to Life will be offer you the opportunities work as a backup DSP with one or more of our current Residential Managers to gain agency specific experience).
  • Ability to complete all required trainings (documentation, TOVA, Human Rights, Medication, CPR/FA)
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic Understanding of “person centered” language and support
